I wrote this letter recently and felt called to share it.
I hope it offers inspiration for any highly sensitive souls who read it. 💗
Dear Sensitive Soul,
Perhaps, like me, you were born highly sensitive
into a world that was not sensitive to your sensitivity.
Perhaps, like me, you were taught to dislike your sensitivity
and see it as a weakness, a “curse.”
I have spent a large portion of my adult life unlearning patterns
that silenced and devalued my sensitivity.
In my teens and 20s, I was very depressed, and I did not know why.
I was anxious and did not know why. Perhaps, you too, have experienced this.
In the process of unraveling these patterns of self-attack and self-suppression, I have learned many things, most importantly, that sensitivity is the greatest gift you can have.
It is a super power, not a weakness.
My hope is to inspire as many sensitive souls as possible
to wake up to their innate greatness.
The messages that I share are inspired by my journey of learning to love and accept myself. It has been, and continues to be, a journey of looking deep within and letting myself feel all the things I had previously avoided.
If you love and appreciate what I share, thank you.
I want you to know that I am simply a mirror of something that exists within you.
I hope that my ever-unfolding journey inspires you
to love and appreciate yourself and your sensitivity.
We sensitive souls are here to create Heaven on Earth.
We are here to inspire change, not through war, rebellion, and outdated modalities, but through sensitivity, awareness, and gentleness.
This change is naturally occurring as more of us choose
to love, respect, and appreciate our unique gifts.
You are here to add to the beauty of the world by sharing your heart,
your creativity, your inspiration, and your imagination.
You already are adding to the beauty of the world every day…
even on your dark, difficult days.
Dark days open you and show you what your soul needs.
They only feel difficult because what you need is often not in alignment
with outdated societal systems and collective beliefs.
Perhaps, like me, you have internalized a voice in response to this rift that says,
“There’s something wrong with me for not fitting in.”
I am here to tell you that there is nothing wrong with you.
Do not dim your light to fit in.
Ever.
Know and trust that you are a valuable, loving presence on this planet.
Be gentle with yourself.
Respect your sensitivity.
Do things that inspire you and bring you joy.
Make time to play and create.
Connect with Nature.
Value yourself and your voice.
Speak kindly about yourself and others.
Take good care of yourself.
When you take care of yourself, your light shines even more brightly.
Leading by this example will inspire others to do the same.
As more of us live this way, we will move closer and closer
to creating the loving world we all dream of.
Believe in yourself.
I believe in you…
… and I believe in us.
Love,
Laura
May you always feel the love that surrounds you.
